Olde English Bulldogge

The original Olde English Bulldogge originated in England between 1600 and 1700.  These were the early ancestors of many of the Bull breeds that exist today including the English Bulldog and the American Bulldog. The foundation of most of today’s Olde English Bulldogges can be traced to English Bulldog, American Bulldog, APBT, and Mastiff. The result of selective breeding results in a good looking Bulldogge of great athletic ability.

The modern Olde English Bulldogge is a reconstruction of the original Olde Bulldogge of the 17th and 18th centuries. It was mostly developed by David Leavitt after many years of research and highly selective line-breeding. Very few were personally selected by David to continue his breeding program. We are proud of our wonderful Bulldogge breed and hope that others like you, will be too.

The Olde Bulldogge has received favorable press and enjoyed great success at dog shows. This had led unscrupulous breeders to copy our dogs and use our breed name leading to bad press and public opinion. We regret the confusions they are causing.

Olde English Bulldogge Registries

The Olde English Bulldogge Association (OEBA) is the registry created by breeder founder, David Leavitt. It is still run by Mr. Leavitt and registers dogs from his original line.

The International Olde English Bulldogge Association (IOEBA) is the world’s largest and most recognized registry for Olde English Bulldogges and several other Bull Breeds and has been dedicated to the preservation, continuation, and improvement of these breeds since 1995.

A non-discriminatory registry dedicated to representing all bloodlines of Olde Bulldogges that exist today as well as several other rare breeds.  Because of our non-discriminatory stance, the IOEBA is rapidly becoming the largest and most popular Olde English Bulldogge registry in the world.

This premier registry is commonly known as the peoples registry.  It was built with trust in truth and belief in integrity with a strong moral and ethical stance and is devoted to upholding a great standard of professionalism within the organization.
