History of the IOEBA

   The International Olde English Bulldogge Association was established in 1995 by Richard  Mullens.  Mr. Mullens is a long time dog breeder with over 30 years of expertise in canine husbandry.  Mr. Mullens began his involvement with rare breeds in 1987. He has bred and or trained almost every breed of Molosser.

In 1995 Mr. Mullens became aware that there was a need for a registry to promote and preserve the Olde English Bulldogge.  At the time, the only breed specific registry registered only dogs bred or approved by one breeder.  Mr. Mullens had been in contact with a number of breeders scattered throughout the United States, Canada, Spain, Brazil and Great Britain who had been breeding "Oldes" for years but were unable to register their Olde English Bulldogges. 

The International Olde English Bulldogge Association started out with a few well established breeders such as: Mighty Mac Bulldogs owned by Jim and Judy McIntosh, Crossbow Farms owned  by Vera Rangel, Gallant Farms owned by Craig Green and a few other select breeders.

 Over the next few years the International Olde English Bulldogge Association grew steadily.  By 2001 several thousand Olde English Bulldogges had been registered with the International Olde English Bulldogge Association.

The International Olde English Bulldogge Association is now continuing under new ownership.  The new owners are dedicated to making the International Olde English Bulldogge Association the premier Bulldogge registry in the world.
